It’s been very difficult for me to keep this site updated and respond to message recently. My apologies to anyone who has been trying to contact me recently.
A lot of stuff going on recently which made me remember that I hadn’t mentioned ReRave Arcade on this site yet. (sheesh – too many things to keep update these days!)
I can’t emphasize how excited we are about ReRave Arcade!
Do you Remember In The Groove, In The groove 2 and Pump It Up Pro 1? Well if you enjoyed those titles you are likely to be excited about this one as well. Finally – working on another arcade based project!
We will be demoing the game at IAAPA 2011 in Orlando with our partners Coast to Coast Entertainment and Chris Cotty. Our team is working hard building a lot of features that users have enjoyed from the mobile version. Be sure to keep an eye out on www.rerave.com for updates
———————–original announcement———————————
Step Evolution announces plans for ReRave Arcade. ReRave Arcade will be a collaboration between Coast to Coast Entertainment, Chris Cotty and the members who developed successful titles such as In The Groove and Pump It Up Pro. Chris is also responsible for the realization of notable titles: DJ Max Technika, and Friction.
ReRave combines music rhythm, as well as accuracy, to create a patent pending and innovative experience that is fun and challenging for all ages and skill levels. Game-play breaks the barrier of old fashioned “scrolling” and “matching symbols” that are typically found in rhythm games. Revolutionary movement is the name of the game!
ReRave is the first music interaction/reaction based entertainment title to feature a 42 inch multiplayer touchscreen and a global interactive ranking network.
We are excited about ReRave’s Arcade introduction and hope you will be too!
ReRave will be available at IAAPA 2011 in Orlando Florida for show attendees to check out for the first time. Be sure to stop by the Coast to Coast Entertainment booth and check it out!
Today (Friday June 17th 2011) is the premier of Oscillator X’s new single “Believe In You”. We’ve worked hard with the recent single to redefine the OSCILLATOR X sound. Want to hear it?

ReRave is off to a great start! In just a week of time we’ve already achieved what was never thought possible. You can get the game HERE
ReRave has reached number 1 Music Game iPAD status on the Apple App store in Japan and is currently 4th grossing Music game. (as of 3/26/2011)
ReRave is being featured in 3 different categories: Games (overall) , Games (Music) , Games (Top Paid)
This is actually a very outstanding accomplishment to have in almost 1 week after the game release. We have OVER 2,000 registered users in Game Center! The release continues to build as we share excitement from our past involvement with In The Groove, Pump It Up Pro, and Positive Gaming iDance2. We never thought we’d see the day of success in Japan. It’s a great feeling to see and a reminder that hard work does pay off. WOOOOO!
In addition to the Japanese success we’ve accomplished other notable charts such as #1 iPAD in USA and even top grossing in other countries. All of these small successes continue to build and help spark our development in both Amusement and Android platforms that we hope to announce at a later date. We hope to have more advancement in these areas soon and will keep everyone updated. Big thanks to all of our friends and family who have supported us along the way with this HUGE project. It’s nice to see the world starting to respond so well!
The wait is over! – GET IT HERE
ReRave is now available in the Apple App Store for a low introductory price of $1.99! Get it while you can at this price! :-) Big thanks to everyone who has supported our projects and we hope you will enjoy it! Do you have feedback or questions? Be sure to let us know at www.stepevolution.com We are just getting started and there is more to come! http://lnk.ms/LqYBn
Thank you to everyone for the continued support of ReRave .
Unfortunately, we’ve experience a small delay with our initial MARCH 10th release date because of final listing logistics. The game was completed on schedule and we’ve been notified that Apple will finalize the listing process very soon.
We are doing everything possible to get the game listed and obtainable ASAP. Luckily we took quality time with bug smashing! (thanks to our awesome beta team!)
Keep an eye out for the app to make an appearance in the Apple App store soon and thank you to all who helped us celebrate at our local release party on March 12th.
Please continue to check back for updates and thank you for continuing to be patient. ReRave will be worth the wait!
Recently I’ve noticed a small amount of comments in the music gaming industry that seem to target products or are used as negative pathways for debates.
Comments like “This game is like that game so it’s a rip off!”
But why? What does this solve? Is that the worst feedback you can come up with?
Why does this problem seem to specifically target the music game genre but not others? When is the last time someone tried to prevent Unreal Tournament from existing after id Software’s Quake3? What are your thoughts on this?
Let’s make some comparisons to these other titles. (Past favorites – 2d side scrolling)
Super Mario Bros.
Sonic the Hedgehog
Crash Bandicoot
Kirby’s Adventure
Are these games similar? Absolutely… What’s your point?
Are they fun? Yes …
Do they all have reasonable following? Yep Are they able to coexist in the market? It seems so… I can’t remember the last time a fan of the Kirby series tried to make negative comparisons towards Mario Bros. for being “first” or being a similar type of game.
Did fans of Kerby try to prevent others from enjoying Crash Bandicoot? No… Not at all. Why would they?
With Regards to this issue, comparisons seem to be a common occurrence of debating and negative vocal ammunition towards products. So what is the purpose?
For the small amount of people that prefer to sit back and do this (on private forums) by all means, have fun with that. You can continue with this behavior as long as you like, but it won’t have an impact on the market or the sales numbers for a new product. You don’t have to “like” a new product, but it seems silly for you to try to prevent others from enjoying something that they might enjoy. You should consider offering constructive feedback that helps benefit the community and the products in the future.
This topic wasn’t directed towards a specific person/reference… It’s just a gentle reminder to not be so close minded towards new products that may (in your opinion) seem similar to others. You should consider trying something before having a complete opinion.
We are very pleased to announce that the wait is almost over for the future of reaction-based entertainment! ReRave will be released March 10th 2011 for the Apple iOS. The game will be available as an iOS “universal app” that will be compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Performance will likely vary by model, but we are doing our best to make it compatible for a wide range of devices. Additionally, All ReRave users will be able to compete daily for the top score on our exclusive ReRave network. Do you think you have what it takes to be the best ReRave player in the World?
“Beta Testing” will soon commence as we wrap up our development schedule in late February 2011. What is next for ReRave? We have plans to explore an Android port and will immediately focus on the future of our amusement platforms following our mobile releases. Please continue to watch the ReRave website and facebook page for any updates. Do you have feedback or inquiries about ReRave? We’d love to hear from you! Please contact us and let us know your thoughts.
Chris Foy and I have just released another video preview of ReRave on Youtube. This 3rd video demonstrates advanced tap types and sneak peeks at our alpha iOS build. ReRave is a new “reaction based” game by Step Evolution.
What makes ReRave different? One key difference being that we don’t use 2 “timing circles” or ANY scrolling imagery with “mating” relationships. This aspect alone is what makes us very different to any other title available to the market now. ReRave’s design is so unique that we consulted one of the best law firms in the industry before production began. ReRave is trademarked and PATENT PENDING with Miller Nash Law LLP
You will be able to make even further assumptions as we reveal more details in future posts.
Please feel free to contact us via our website http://www.rerave.com or facebook page (www.facebook.com/rerave). We love to hear your comments!
Development continues with ReRave in the 2011 year. Our team is back to work and it’s hard to believe we are just WEEKS away from having our first internal betas of ReRave. ReRave will make it’s first appearance on iOS devices and will be Step Evolutions first release of several other platforms to follow. The iOS release of the game is projected for the 1st quarter of 2011. We appear to still be on schedule!
New music is being added weekly! Be sure to keep an eye out on www.rerave.com for updates and new arrivals. Leave us your comments, suggestions, hate messages, and everything else! Are you following us on facebook or twitter yet?!
We continue to get emails, facebook messages and contacts from people all over the world concerning ReRave. It seems that people are as excited as we are! Big thanks to everyone for their support and being a part of the next evolution in reaction games. Haters beware… ReRave will be released and we aren’t stopping production for the small negative comments that we see!
Do you have comments, questions or concerns? Don’t be afraid to leave them for us! We’ll do our best to respond when we can!
We look “FOYWARD” to providing you with something new to enjoy in the 2011 year.
